I don't think Gary Renard has stolen the Gospel of Thomas
Bruce MacDonald says Gary Renard, the writer of the best-selling book "The Disappearance Of The Universe" plagiarized the Gospel of Thomas because Parsah's Gospel in Renard's second book was word for word with Stephen Patterson and Marvin Meyer’s English translation from Nag Hammadi Library.
I don't think so, for the same reason as MacDonald's that it is verbatim.
Let me list up my points.
1. Stephen Patterson and Marvin Meyer's English translation is a most famous Gospel of Thomas.
Check out Amazon's page for instance. When you try to plagiarize something, will you steal No.1 famous material word for word with the same title? And it is a matter of Gospels. When you cite Bible in conversations (Renard's book is a style of conversations' record), you wouldn't mention which version is, especially in case of being from the most famous translation. Gospels are among public domain which Robert Perry loves.
2. Gary Renards' book recommends us to compare itself with the current Gospel of Thomas.
His book says it used the same numbers for Jesus' sayings that you may compare with the Coptic version to show you which part is omited and changed in Parsah's version. When you have stolen the content, will you recommend the readers to compare yours with the original material?
3. Bruce MacDonald claims he is the true reincarnation of St. Thomas.
Gary's book touches the same topic of the saint's reincarnation. So, Bruce should be one of the parties interested. After the explosive sales of Gary's book which was once listed next to Harry Potter, what do you think the less-well-known public claimer of St. Thomas' reincarnation felt against the million hit? I bet he must have felt slapped in the face by the millions of Gary's readers in his imagination.
4. Bruce claims Gary Renard is the reincarnation of Simon Magus, and Magus faked A Course in Miracles.
It is strange that Robert Perry, the founder of "Circle of Atonement", hired the claims of Bruce who insists A Course in Miracles is a completely fake. (Circle of Atomenet is one of the organizations based on A Course in Miracles. COA once sued FIP which has the copyright of A Course in Miracles with the claim that ACIM be among public domain.) More absurd for me is that Bruce seriously insists Simon Magus(Gary, he means) dictated A Course in Miracles to Helen Schucman. Gary Renard, supposedly born in 50's, was a little boy in Massachusetts when Helen started scribing A Course in Miracles at N.Y. in 1965. Anyone, please explain me how a boy at Salem sent 1100 pages of inspirations to an assistant professor in Colombia University.
So my conclusion is smile and forgiveness.

Renard is Sooooo full of himself and Still very much entangled in his EGO-SELF. His defense (which he calls clarification...) on his website http://www.garyrenard.com/FraudAccusations.html is shameless and embarracing. He should have known better than behave in that way.
Spirituality has become yet another way to earn big bucks. Gary is similar to a great 2nd hand car salesman, who was quite smart to write, what he calls a "can-opener" for ACIM. Personally I found his book TDOTU a total waste of money. He tried so hard to be funny (for no reason).
Yeah yeah, I'm totally entangled also in my EGO-self by judging my dear brother Gary. But GAWD Almighty, sometimes we really need to SPEAK UP if we see people who practise daylight robbery.
I gave ACIM a try, and found that it had a brainwashing effect. I am able to communicate with spirits. So I prayed to God and Christ and asked if ACIM comes from Christ, and each time I was told "no" through a visual symbolic way.
I have had dreams that made the point ACIM is misleading. I know of other people that have also had such dreams.
God is not separate from this world, and he is aware of it. This world isn't a big mistake, and illusion. It is a way for our souls to learn.
When people suffer in this world, they do in fact suffer, despite what the 365 day course tries to brainwash people to believe.
ACIM speaks of ego in a misleading way.
Spiritual growth is not an all or nothing process. We don't have to wait for the universe to disappear, in order to grow spiritually. People sometimes believe in such an approach, because they aren't willing to put in the effort to work on themselves.
I can't say that I know whether Bruce Fraser Macdonald actually channeled God and Jesus, but he says in the below article matches up with what I found, when I no longer allowed myself to be limited by what ACIM says.
